Muhammad Zuhdi, Ph.D.  is a Senior Lecturer of the Faculty of Education and the Head of Quality Assurance Institute at the State Islamic University (UIN) Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. He obtained his M.Ed. degree from the School of Education, The University of New South Wales (UNSW) Sydney, and his doctorate from the Faculty of Education, McGill University Montreal. His research interests are curriculum, Islamic education and multicultural education. His recent publications include, “Challenging Moderate Muslims: Indonesia’s Muslim Schools in the

Midst of Religious Conservatism” (Religions 2018, 9, 310) and “Recurring Issues in Indonesia’s Islamic Education: The Needs for Religious Literacy” (Analisa Journal 2020,5/1, 1-13). In June 2011, Dr. Zuhdi was awarded “the Australian Alumni Award for Excellence in Education” by the Australian Embassy in Jakarta.
